Full course description
This 1-2 hour self-paced course introduces disabilities and reinforces reasonable accommodations and legal protections. It includes guidance on designing content that is easy to read, navigate, and understand for individuals using assistive technologies such as screen readers or voice recognition software. Learners are provided with real-world examples that show how these accessibility practices can be applied in everyday work situations.
Participants will learn about important federal laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Rehabilitation Act, as well as the University of Wyoming’s accommodation process and practical strategies for making digital content accessible.
